Kill 4 Connection

My inability to access my email and vmail over the last few days had me wondering if the two were conspiring against me. This got me thinking about animism. I let the thought go until a day later, when I punched and cursed a door after slamming my finger. Call me crazy, but I felt very strongly about the doors intent to harm me. After beating myself up for abusing the inanimate, I began to think about children and their seemingly natural belief in animism. Shintoism and the nature of matter found it's way into this inner convo. Maybe children have it right, maybe that door did have ill will towards me, and maybe we are taught to rationalize away the true nature of things.

Kill 4 Chet

Just rediscovered this personal favorite while reading about this.

Kill 4 Charity

The less fortunate should look a lot spiffier after the elections. Sarah Palin and fam's $150,000 wardrobe might be hitting a Salvation Army near you.

To think all those women rushed out and paid top dollar for Palinesque eyewear that within the next few weeks might be hugging the nose of a homeless man. if that happens I can see Kawasaki 704s littering the streets of the heartland.

Kill 4 Clustering

Unadulterated communities tend to breed xenophobia and or hillbillies.

Ideas need to be challenged.

Kill 4 Carrots

In this country the promise of wealth is the carrot dangled in front of the mule. We are willing to live with less in order to protect riches we may never have. "Why should I pay higher taxes, to help the less fortunate, I worked for this money?". How many of us actually reach that elusive tax bracket where we become saddled with the undeserving poor?

Kill 4 Clubbing

Sarah Palin seems a little to comfortable bopping her head, as if she has spent more time in the club then in a book. I can see her now in the white house, drank in hand, lights low, giving Tractor Todd a lap dance while America burns.

Jokes aside, I know a lot of smart people that can dance. The problem is Sarah doesn't strike me as smart. Unless, as has been suggested about our current president, in the book "The Uncivil War: How a New Elite is Destroying Our Democracy", Sarah has been dumbed down for broader appeal.

Kill 4 Cynici$m

I have very little faith in government and politicians. In this day that does not make me very unique. I believe we live in a oligarchy disguised as a democracy. Masked as such, so not to invoke the wrath of the masses, as well as to misguide and funnel potential grassroots energy into the two party system. Many of you will say that there are legal components built into our government to protect us from power coalescing in the hands of a few. I will say to you that those fail-safes have long been side stepped. The evidence is right before our eyes. In the last 8 years the slight of hand practiced by American politicians has been replaced with the finer arts of school yard bullying. This bullying has held up in our courts of law. Wether it has been the erosion of civil liberties or the torture of individuals in our collective name, the law that we feel will protect us has not. I believe in most cases power corrupts, and that the weak and corrupt seek power. Of course there are some good people who seek power to make positive changes, but I feel they are a minority constrained by the corrupt. I ask people, "If you were in power and enjoyed having it, why would you allow the average person the ability to take it with a vote?". With all of that said (long ass blog), something about Obama's closing speech in last nights final debate really moved me, there was a sincerity in his eyes that I really wanna believe. I was not an undecided voter. I had chosen long ago to vote for "O" for symbolic reasons and with hope that outside of politics and what Obama may or may not accomplish as a president, that we would all be inspired and transformed by our collective choice. A choice that would symbolize our capacity for change.

Kill 4 Cuba

Let's hope Obama has a little liar in him, which he mostly likely does, but lets hope he re-nigs [sic] on his promise to the Cuban American National Foundation in Miami to maintain the trade sanctions against Cuba.

Castro's views on Obama and the election.

Kill 4 Coonery

I wonder what homeless shelter they found this fine young gentleman in, and how much he was paid... or is he just a coon?

Kill 4 Crowds

From folksy to fascist. McCain's unblinking soldier of manipulation continues to push inflammatory statements through her faux smile. Even after reports that her crowd whipping produced screams of "Kill him!!" in reference to Obama, she still continued her same approach in a subsequent speech.

Aldous Huxley coined the phrase "Herd-Poisoning", when examining Hitler's ability to move crowds:

"Assembled in a crowd, people lose their powers of reasoning and their capacity for moral choice. Their suggestibility is increased to the point where they cease to have judgment or will of their own. They become very excitable, they lose all sense of individual or collective responsibility, they are subject to sudden accesses of rage, enthusiasm and panic. In a word, a man in a crowd behaves as though he has swallowed a large dose of some powerful intoxicant. He is a victim of what I have called "herd-poisoning"."

Suffice it to say Palin may have never heard the term herd-poisoning before, but I am pretty sure her handlers and speech writers have come across some form of the idea, and are making most excellent use of it.

Kill 4 Courts

In September 120 legal authorities from around the world held a conference to lay plans for bringing the Bush Administration up on war crimes. But with experienced war criminals like Kissinger showing Bush how to bob and weave, I'm sure nothing will stick.

With Kissinger also advising McCain, his possible presidency will more than likely be riddled with crimes against humanity, if not a lil arm breaking every now and again.

Kill 4 Cans

Last night we watched the Republicans try to expand their political base to not only include Hockey Moms, but also Soccer Moms (hence forth these two shall be known as "HocSocs") and Joe Six Pack.

Does a beer have to be sold in a can to be recognized as a six pack, if so, does my beer being sold only in bottles exclude me from being an official "Joe"? I think this is definitely an issue ripe for deregulation. I need to make a call to Phil Gramm.
